Gmail to accountant, every month

Your accountant’s monthly packet, already built.

TaxBox goes through your Gmail for the month’s invoices and receipts, saves the attachments, and leaves a draft in your inbox with everything zipped and listed. You read it and hit send.

How it works

Three steps, and only the last one needs you.

01

Sign in with Google

Google handles the sign-in, so we never see your password. TaxBox asks to read your mail and to draft one email a month. It cannot delete or change anything in your mailbox.

02

It reads the month

TaxBox searches for invoices and receipts, pulls the attachments out of the threads, and sorts them by vendor and date.

03

You check it and send

A draft to your accountant is waiting in Gmail with the ZIP attached. Open it, look down the list, send.

Your documents

We delete them once your accountant has them.

  • We open your documents to build the packet and for nothing else.
  • No model is trained on them and nobody buys them.
  • When the packet is delivered, our copies are deleted and you get a signed receipt.
  • We never delete, move or edit anything in your Gmail.

How the receipt works

You stop hunting at month-end

That receipt you know arrived sometime in March is already in the folder. You do not have to remember which vendor sent it, or what they called the file.

The attachments come too

PDFs and photographed receipts get pulled out of the emails and saved as real files. Some vendors put the receipt in the body instead of attaching it, so those are saved as well.

It is the format bookkeepers ask for

One ZIP for the month, plus a CSV listing vendor, date, filename and the email each document came from. Nothing to rename.

It runs without you

Pick a day. Every month after that the packet is built and the draft is sitting there when you open Gmail.

Pricing

Questions

The four things people ask first.

What can TaxBox actually see in my Gmail?

It runs the invoice and receipt searches you set up, and opens the emails that match so it can save their attachments. It never deletes, moves or edits anything. Everything it collected is erased from our side once your packet has been delivered.

Will it email my accountant without asking me?

Only if you switch that on. By default it prepares a draft and leaves it in your Gmail for you to send.

What does my accountant get?

A ZIP of the month’s documents and a CSV with four columns: vendor, date, filename, and the email address the document arrived from. Most bookkeepers can import that directly.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from the billing page. Disconnecting Gmail deletes your data with it.

Start with this month.

Connect Gmail and TaxBox will have your first packet ready before you have finished your coffee.
